re: Guild Regulations!

We Walk Alone Regulations

We Walk Alone is a wow wotlk guild made up mostly of mature people with age 18+ and spread out through Europe, we pride ourselves that most of us are old-school gamers from classic World of Warcraft!

Raid Days & Times
We are a raiding guild with strict attendance, we raid 3 official nights (Monday, Wednseday and Thursday) from 19:00 to 23:00 and our goal in a very simple term is to have fun

Main Principles of the guild
1) Self responsibility - This means our ppl have the guild in mind and have the raiding goal of the guild set as their own. For example of what this sometime elusive principle means: we don't believe in handholding people, we come to raid prepared with potions and repairs, we make sure we know all the tactics of bosses we can (possibly) encounter beforehand without being told and if possible even seen some movies, and we are there on time or let the guild know when we cannot make it in time.

Another part of self-responsibility is knowing your class and be responsible for your gear. Don't be shy, ask people to go to a certain instance if you need a certain item. Don't be shy, if you need some explanations about how to play your class, ask someone who (apparently) knows it better and can explain you how to improve your performance. You'll see the game is much more fun if you perform more efficient.

Self-responsibility gives great freedom, but requires more from you! You are responsible, behave like a responsible person and this guild will have great times.

2) Attendance - The guild has 3 official raiding days (although we may raid unofficially as well) these days are: Monday, Wendsday, Thursday members are expected to attend both of these official raids. The Guild is ours and we need to make sure we can trust the people we have > be sure to upkeep the principle. While we're in the process of gearing ourselves up for bigger, better and harder instances, we'll aim for going on 10mans on non-official raiding days. When this process is finished, we can aim for raiding 25 mans on non-raid days.

3) Sense of humor - Probably our most important principle, being able to give and take a joke are a must, we always assume that no matter how low or offending something is said to us, it is always said with a smile, and we are always right. Guild is all about having fun, laughing our ass off on a regular base is a big part of that.

GUILD SETUP
Officers, Raiders, Members,( Friend), Chilling, Candidates (Trail) ,. (actual rank names may be changed on a random base)

The size of the management (Officers) in we walk alone is kept very small on purpose, we don't believe in much need for management for the simple reason that we have good hearted, smart people in the guild who will always keep the benefit of the guild in mind, the guild pretty much runs by itself with the management mainly focusing on organizing stuff and "making it happen".

Couple of notes:
1) We don't have class leaders, there is no need, ppl are expected to know their class well and with the self responsibility principle are expected to discuss by themselves to improve each other's performance (especially your own)
2) The friend rank is used and is there for long time members and friends who can't make the raiding days, and we just love them!

RECRUITMENT
We try to keep the process simple and efficient, we got recruitment officers who view the applications, talk with applicants and make decisions, the management trusts them and they are able to invite candidates as they see fit.

We Walk Alone never stops recruiting, we are always looking for people who are wanting to join a skilled raid team that enjoy learning and beating new raid content whilst having a barrel of laughs along the way. Just because your class/spec is not on the recruitment list does not mean you won't be accepted. We treat every application equally and fairly; therefore if you class/spec is low in demand, your application will have just a good chance of being accepted as an application from a class in high demand. Always feel free to apply

RULES OF RAIDING
- Attend 2 raids from 3 per week (Monday,Wednesday,Thursday) from 19:00 to 23:00. Sunday as main progression raid may start earlier . still tbd.
- Final authority regarding raids is guild message of the day, always read it.
- On official raiding days, even if you are not in raid you must still be online until raid ends, with the stupid state of the Internet and WoW we will have some ppl DC for sure.
- On official raiding nights if you are on standby you may be called to join at any time, if u are in party give them 5 minutes notice to find a replacement for you and then leave to join the raid, do not delay, the guild is counting on you. Hint: go set your char at the instance's entrance and go level/play an alt.
- If there is a raid on an unofficial day, you are not obligated to join it, but you are encouraged.
- Raid official invites start at 18:30 with the raid starting 19:00. By that time u must be ready at instance entrance
- Following the self responsibility concept of the guild, ppl are expected to know tactics and already watched some movies and in general come prepared, no handholding here and usually no tactic explanations at all during the raid.
- BTW expect to wipe, alot. (meaning many many times)
- Have fun

BEHAVIOR & EXPECTATIONS
- Respect people in- AND outside the guild. Treat them with more regard than you'd like to be regarded. Treat them the same way you'd want to be treated.
- Please speak up when you feel it's needed. Problems that are not addressed will not be fixed. Not everything in WoW is magic.
- During raids the Raid Leader can claim the Ventrilo channel. When people chat simultaneously it's not working. When the RaidLeader speaks, everyone else is silent and listens to what the RL has to say.
- During raids the Raid Leader decides about tactics. Even if you disagree, you follow his tactic. Of course the Raid Leader always listens to suggestions.
- The Ventrilo server is (not) a toy, Have fun with it, but respect it as a necessary tool > don’t spam and don’t interfere when encounters are happening.
- Don't be shy, interact with ppls , there is no such thing as a stupid joke or question.

LOOT
-First of we go by a 75% attendance rule meening u got to have that much attendance equal two out of three raid days a week to even get to claim it since the legit right for them items are the guys giving it a effort for it, even tho they might pass on it and even have it then it goes to lower attendance members or Disencant/Offspec if no one needs it!
-Loot will be distributed according the self-responsibility principle. Members are expected to be able to settle these things themselves. Guild Management will see to it that this is done fairly and as such can overrule what members agreed upon when they feel it is necessary.
-Be happy for your guild friends, when any person receives loot after the decision is made even if it is not you > the guild is stronger and it will be easier to get all the loot later on so don't be a loot whore, loot is really just a bunch of numbers stored on a computer in france....
